Speaking of robots - Wall-E was really really good. There's nothing like robots in love and a rather plausible yet terrifying look at the future of the human race to get your heart a flutter. It was really really good.

Robots!
I still don't really have anything new, and I can't get to a scanner until I go to work anyway, so here's another oldish painting. This one's oil on canvas, and was done for my Painting I class last fall.

I am a terrible slacker.

But the summer makes you that way. This picture up here was the main reason I didn't draw anything, although this picture will serve as a place holder for the drawing I'm planning on making. This screencap is from the movie "Tekkonkinkreet." It was a pretty typical anime movie, as far as anime movies were concerned, but the style was super cute to me. I'd like to adopt some of its features.
Hopefully what you'll be seeing here is a shibuya/animesque mash up in a bit. Everything I seem to do this summer is a throwback to the olden days. But I'm starting to remember that that's not necessarily a bad thing, especially when you're a little more comfortable with yourself.
